Get holiday-ready with this focussed course designed to prepare you to travel around the Francophone world with confidence.

Elementary 3 - Intensive


In this two-week intensive course, students will develop their ability to talk about daily routines, travel plans and past experiences, while building confidence in everyday French. Key grammar includes the present tense, reflexive verbs, the imperative, on and y, and an introduction to the passé composé.

Students will also practise expressing time and obligation, talking about the weather and describing places, with plenty of opportunities to review and consolidate their French. Suitable for students who have completed Elementary 2 or have been assessed at the appropriate level before enrolling.

Be Wise and Revise - Y and EN (A2)

Be Wise and Revise - COD and COI (A2)

Mastering the French Past tenses 1 (A2-B1)

Not sure when to use the passé composé or the imparfait? Confused by agreements with être and avoir?

This practical 2-hour workshop will help you gain confidence with the most important French past tenses. Through clear explanations and guided practice, you'll learn how to choose between the passé composé and the imparfait, understand the role of auxiliary verbs, and apply agreement rules more accurately.

This workshop can be taken on its own or with the more advanced past tense workshop on Wednesday, exploring complex narrative structures and additional past tenses.

Suitable for learners from A2 to B1 level.

Mastering the French Plus-que-parfait & Pronominal Verbs (B1-B2)

Jean de La Fontaine - Vie et Fables (B2-C1)

Discover the life and work of Jean de La Fontaine, one of France’s most celebrated literary figures. Explore why his fables remain relevant and widely studied in France today through the analysis of some of his best-known works. The workshop will also include recitation exercises to practise French diction and pronunciation, as well as a creative writing activity inspired by the morals and lessons of his fables.
